LINDSEY FRY
Reporter
I moved to Minot in 2011 at a very devastating time. The Souris River had just taken over the city and residents were evacuating their homes for the second time. I knew this was a city that would soon need information, and I wanted to be here to help residents get through this difficult time.
I moved to Minot from Hot Springs, Arkansas. Although this is my first job as a reporter, the newsroom atmosphere is a familiar environment for me. After graduating from Lyon College in 2010, I worked as a Daybreak Producer at KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas. I enjoyed producing, but I really wanted to be out in the community talking with people and hearing their stories. I have a true passion for news, and a lot of respect for journalism. This is an incredibly rewarding career, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to start off in Minot.
When I’m not obsessing over news, you can find me in the pool swimming laps or reading William Faulkner. I love camping, running, watching old movies and spending time with my friends and family. My favorite time of the year is of course, football season! Naturally, I will be cheering for the HOGS!
Overall, I never expected to be reporting in Minot, North Dakota but life has a way of taking you on journeys you never expected to take. I look forward to my experience here and hope to learn all I can.
