Interstate Reopened From Bismarck to Jamestown
4/14/2009
State officials have reopened Interstate 94 between Bismarck and Jamestown but with a 5 mph speed limit because of water on the road.

The 100-mile stretch of interstate was closed overnight because of the high water.

Transportation officials said the water has receded on U.S. 83 from Interstate 94 to the South Dakota border, as well as on state Highway 13 east of Linton and state Highway 34 from Hazelton to Napoleon.

Interstate 29 has water problems in parts of Pembina, Walsh and Grand Forks counties, but travel is still allowed. The rest area east of Grafton is closed.

Officials in Kidder, LaMoure, Mercer, Morton, Sheridan and Wells counties have advised no travel on secondary roads and extreme caution on primary roads. Burleigh County also has reported dozens of road closures.
