Highway 2 Reopened, Highway 14 Closed
4/17/2009
The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) have closed N.D. Highway 14 approximately four miles southwest of Towner due to water on the roadway, directly south of the U.S. Highway 2 Junction. The highway will be closed from U.S. Highway 2 Junction of Highway 14 southwest of Towner to the Junction of Highway 52 west of Drake.

NDDOT and NDHP are allowing local traffic only between the Junctions of Highway 2 and 52 in areas not affected by water. Other motorists are to use alternate routes.

Motorists are urged to use caution and reduce speeds while traveling in this area. Fluctuating water levels make it difficult to predict when and where water will go over a roadway or recede from the roadway
