Heavy Rain Leads to Road Closure
Ashli Kimenker
6/19/2009
North Dakota transportation officials have reopened state Highway 5 between Bottineau and Dunseith after shutting it down because of flooding.
The highway was closed after heavy rain Thursday night led to water on the roadway. Storms have been pounding North Dakota much of the week. The National Weather Service says the latest round hit the northern part of the state, with 3.5 inches of rain reported between Bottineau and Dunseith in an hour.

Father east, up to 5 inches of rain was reported in parts of Cavalier County.
