| Mercer County wants the state to take over a road heavily used by the energy industry. The 10-mile stretch of paved County Road 21 carries heavy trucks and hundreds of workers to energy plants and a coal mine northwest of Beulah. The county says the road is expensive to maintain and should be on the state`s secondary road system. The State Transportation Department director says the agency is more interested in a trade-off than a takeover. |
