Valley City State Softball Player Recovers After Lake Plunge
6/29/2009
A Valley City State softball player who survived a crash into a lake in April says she remembers little about the crash.

Sara Gullickson says that`s for the best. Gullickson will be a sophomore at Valley City State. She came to Bismarck over the weekend to play in the McQuade Softball Tournament.

Gullickson was driving from Valley City State to her home in Spiritwood on April 29th when she crashed into a lake after swerving to avoid a goose on Interstate 94. She was in the water about half an hour before she was rescued. She woke up from a coma nine days later.

Gullickson says she has no physical scars from the crash. She now drives her new car by the accident site almost every day. And she says she`s more cautious.
