For soon-to-be brides in the Bismarck area, finding local vendors for their big day is easy, thanks to BisMan Weddings Renee Herman was recently engaged when she started the site about two years ago. "I was looking for an easier solution to find wedding vendors in the Bismarck-Mandan area, and I couldn`t find anything, so I decided on creating this website, and thought our community was in need of it," Herman says. It was. Herman says that she`s had over 8,000 visitors to the site this year alone. She says brides use it for every step of their wedding planning. "You can find florists, limo drivers, printers, and many more," she says. Couples can post engagement and wedding announcements for free. And it has a talk forum section where users can read about the vendors that are listed. "They can use that to share with other brides their good and bad wedding experience, or give each other tips," says Herman. Another site that newly engaged couples can check out is Wedding Channel. There, you can find ideas from other brides to make your wedding special. They have photos of hairstyles, bouquets, and even celebrity wedding pages with tips from top wedding planners. Top Wedding Sites is a filter site that helps you find free and cheap wedding sites for a variety of wedding needs. It directs you to places where you can build your own couple site, like eWedding.com. And the most popular online wedding site is The Knot. Here you can look at slideshows of weddings from around the world, create your own wedding web page, and learn about the latest wedding trends. The site recently launched a live online show that airs once a week. Whether you`re recently engaged, or have been planning your wedding for a long time, finding help and fresh ideas is just a click away. Herman says that the site recently launched a section where brides can e-mail questions to a local wedding planner, and get wedding advice for free. |
