The weather wasn`t the greatest for horse-back riding Saturday, but about four dozen people saddled up in Wilton to do just that. The horses paraded down Main Street in Wilton Saturday morning for Saddle up for Cancer, Marshall`s Ride.
The ride was named in honor of Marshall Erickson, a Wilton native who died from cancer.
The money raised from the parade, trail ride, and silent auction went to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation, a cause that directly affected many of the people who participated.
There was no charge to ride today, but a $20 contribution per rider was suggested. |
