| The NBC North Dakota News network has lost one of our extended family members. Chelsey Lies, 16, died Saturday night when she swerved to avoid a dog on the road. The pickup she was driving entered a ditch and rolled over. Chelsey was the daughter of longtime KMOT employee Annie Lies. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Chelsey was driving on a gravel road two miles southeast of Douglas near her home. Her brother, Cody Lies, 14, was also in the pickup, but was not hurt. The vehicle rolled once, Chelsey was ejected and killed. Both were not wearing their seatbelts. |
