Haunted Wrestling Mansion Book | Video
10/25/2009
This is a story about a wrestling mansion in Lincoln, North Dakota that hosts the most popular show on television. The wrestling takes place in an arena underneath the mansion and mysterious things begin to happen inside. What in the world are we talking about?

We have exclusive video of the underground wrestling ring in Lincoln, North Dakota. Just kidding. "The Psychotic Pro-Wrestler" is a movie that Bismarck born-and-raised Michael Erickson created 2003 with the help of his brother and other friends.

"We actually made a movie out of it, and see what kind of fun we could have out of it," says Erickson.

Shortly after making this movie, Michael`s brother, and co-director, James died of a brain aneurysm.

"After that happened, it really took a toll on my life and made me look at what we are doing here, on this planet, in such a short time, are we just kind of existing, are we here for a purpose? What`s going on?" he says.

This is when Erickson sprang into action and decided to write a book. He says "The Psychotic Pro-Wrestler" is the platform of "The Haunted Wrestling Mansion." Based on a mansion in Lincoln, the fictional LCW, or Lincoln Championship Wrestling, is the hottest show on television, when mysterious murders begin taking place.

"One of the wrestlers, he actually uncovers and finds out who is behind everything, it`s a really good story because you make a lot of connections," says Erickson.

The 25-year-old says the book is a must-have for horror enthusiasts. He says the combination of horror and the thrill work together to make the book flow. He says he hopes this is the beginning of his future.

"I would like to make a career out of writing, that would be great, but I do know that the reality of writing is you don`t make any money from writing books, I understand that, it`s a hobby now, but if I do make a living out of it, that`d be great, it`d be ok too, but I`m going to continue for quite a while."

He says the book is in tribute to his brother, who inspired him to follow his dreams.

Erickson will have a book-signing on Halloween at Huntington`s Books in Mandan.
