Local Artist`s Art Being Displayed

| A Mandan artist is bringing the outdoor beauty of North Dakota indoors. Sam Coleman has been painting for 24 years and he says his works depict the beauty of North Dakota. Next week, his oil paintings will be on display at the Bismarck Art and Galleries Association. The art will be displayed for a week and he encourages anyone who loves the scenery of North Dakota to come check it out. "We`ve got a lot of landscape, a lot of wildlife, a lot of still life, a lot of North Dakota pictures because the title of this show is `God`s Country,` and I just consider North Dakota as being on of the most beautiful places on Earth," says artist Sam Coleman. The opening reception will be Tuesday afternoon from five to seven at the gallery. His paintings will also be on sale. They range in price from $50 to $6,000. |
