A mother is going to great lengths to find help for her son.
Braden Brown of Baldwin was diagnosed with aplastic anemia two months ago and will likely need a bone marrow transplant. Braden`s mother, with the help of Biolife Plasma Services and Aetna, sponsored a bone marrow registry drive Sunday at the Bismarck Public Library in hopes of finding a perfect match for Braden. A simple swab of the cheek can help save a life. His mother was there to show thanks to those who donated and she says she`s going to do everything she can to find a match.
"It`s pretty difficult to find a match, you know there`s millions of people out on the registry, but it`s still rare to find a match, so basically if he needs a bone marrow transplant, I want to do everything I can possible to do what I can to make this process easier for him. If I find a match, I`ll know I`ve done my job as a mom," says Paula Brown, Braden`s mother.
She says she hopes that there will be a match for Braden.
