Many smaller communities across the region are honoring those among them who served in uniform.
More than 100 people Wednesday attended Mohall`s Veterans` Day Concert.
Members of American Legion Post Number 52`s Honor Guard presented the colors to begin the event.
The MLS concert choir and band used their day off from school to honor the veterans.
They sang and played patriotic songs to commemorate the day.
"We have the freedom to have a day to honor them," Meg VanderLaan said. "We have the freedom to tell veterans we`re thankful for everything they`ve done. I think it`s very important for us to tell the veterans that we`re thankful and appreciative."
North Dakota`s Commissioner of Veterans Affairs also spoke at Mohall`s Veterans` Day Concert.
