For seniors who are new to the Medicare prescription drug plan, help is available to answer your questions in Bismarck today.
Insurance department staff is at the Doublewood in until 4:00 p.m. to help consumers choose a plan that best serves their needs. Insurance commissioner Adam Hamm says there are a lot of changes happening with Medicare Part D next year and this free event can help thousands of North Dakota seniors.
"Bring the paperwork of the plan you`re in right now," says Hamm. "Second, bring a list of medicines you`re taking and the dosages and third your Medicare card. If you bring that paperwork with, we`ll have a counselor who can walk one on one through the process and get your enrolled."
That event is going on until 4:00 p.m. at the Doublewood Inn in Bismarck. The insurance department will also be holding events in nine other cities across North Dakota in the near future.
