Hazardous Driving | Video
12/2/2009
Minot Police advised drivers to stay off the streets as much as possible Wednesday, because of the bad road conditions.

The ice and snow has created hazardous conditions for drivers in the city limits. Tuesday police responded to over 60 car accidents. Wednesday they issued a no-traffic advisory trying to keep people safe and reduce the number of accidents.

"It doesn`t mean it`s against the law to travel, just take an extra caution and realize that conditions are hazardous. And postpone travel if it is absolutely neccessary," says Lt. Jason Olson.

Police also stressed that drivers need to give themselves extra time if they do travel, because accidents are bound to happen when you`re in a hurry. With the same forecast for Thursday, it looks like driving conditions will stay the same.
