| Officials Issue Travel Alert for Western ND |

| The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for the western third of the state. The department is warning of winds, blowing snow and reduced visibility in areas near Dickinson, Beach, Bowman, Hettinger, Watford City, New Town, Williston, Stanley, Kenmare and Crosby. Officials say as the storm moves east, the winds are expected to increase, which may extend the alert area. Drivers are asked to reduce their speeds, use caution and monitor road conditions. To do so, they can call 511 from any phone or go to www.dot.nd.gov. |
