NDHP Releases Results From Saturation Patrol

Courtney Kabot | 1/18/2012

New numbers from the North Dakota Highway Patrol show that intoxicated drivers continue to get behind the wheel. The NDHP conducted a saturation patrol in the southeast region of the state last weekend.

Troopers issued 235 traffic citations, 12 DUI arrests and 23 other arrests. Sargent Josh Rude says they are encouraging drivers to be more responsible and to designate a sober driver if they`ve been consuming alcohol.

In 2011 there were 130 fatal traffic crashes in North Dakota.
