First Officer on Scene Testifies in Unruh Trial | Video

Retha Colclasure | 1/19/2012

The trial for a Lincoln man continues this morning with testimony from the first officer on the scene. Lincoln police chief Marcel Sim was a patrol officer on April 16 last year when he arrived at John Unruh`s home.

He says that when he arrived he saw Randall Albaugh in pain and lying on his back. Sim says that Unruh said several times that they had hired a prostitute and she had stabbed Albaugh.

But while Sim was treating Albaugh he noticed that the dying man was struggling to say something.

"His exact words were (expletive), he did it, he (expletive) stabbed me," Sim said.

After that, Sim testified that he had to tase Unruh, to little effect. He then pulled his firearm on Unruh, who continued to deny any involvement in the stabbing.
