There`s a mixed bag of predictions on this Groundhog Day about how much winter we have left.

The most famous of the furry forecasters says we`re in for six more weeks, while just about all the others disagree.

Punxsutawney Phil advised us, through a spokesman, of course, to stay bundled up.

That`s a tough sell for most of the country, where it`s been one of the warmest winters on record so far.

At stores most everywhere, merchandise associated with winter weather sits unused and unsold.

Much of the country is far and away warmer-than-ever-before for February.

About the only groundhog in agreement with Phil`s forecast is Birmingham Bill, who saw his shadow, too.

Still, Phil`s handlers defend his prediction of six more weeks of winter, somewhere.

Just maybe not where you are.
