After the Storm | Video

Henry Blakes | 2/29/2012

Today`s storm was a great example of how quickly the weather can change. Severe weather in the Midwest drained a lot of the moisture that was forecast to hit central North Dakota, but in Emmons County, there was plenty of snow to go around.

Linton picked up over half a foot of snow, and in Strasburg, closer to a foot. Harold Stratton has lived in Linton for years and welcomes the snow.

"I haven`t made that much money this year, but it`s been a good winter. A lot of fishing getting done, a lot of people moving when they normally wouldn`t be," he said.

Also, farmers were happy to see the snow as it provided much needed moisture.
