Sobriety Checkpoint in Stark County

The North Dakota Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Stark County this weekend. During the same weekend, June 22-23, NDHP Troopers and Stark County Deputies will be patroling Stark County for alcohol-impaired drivers.

According to the NDHP, the checkpoint is to deter people from drinking and driving. The Highway Patrol says that as of this year, 53 people have died in traffic crashed in North Dakota. Twenty-eight of those deaths were in alcohol-related crashes.
