Belcourt Man Pleads Guilty to Assault

A Belcourt man has pleaded guilty today to a charge of assault resulting in serious bodily injury. Garrick L Martin, 30, struck a person in the face with a beer bottle in February. The victim lost two teeth and needed surgery.

The charge has a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.

Martin will be sentenced on September 21.
