Northeastern ND Alcohol Enforcement Results

Over the weekend, the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Walsh County Sheriff`s Department and Grafton Police Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint and alcohol enforcement saturation in Walsh County. A checkpoint was set up about a half mile west of Grafton on Highway 17 from 9:00 to 11:00 last Friday night.

There were 205 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint. Eleven of those drivers had been consuming alcohol and were evaluated for possible impairment. There were no DUI arrests.

In addition to last weekend`s enforcement in Walsh County, the Highway Patrol also conducted an alcohol enforcement saturation in Pembina County on June 15-16.

During the two saturation efforts, five drivers were arrested for DUI.
