Morton County Alcohol Enforcement Results

The North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Morton County Sheriff`s Office conducted an alcohol saturation and sobriety checkpoint in Morton County on June 29 and 30. The purpose of the effort was to deter people from driving under the influence.

According to the highway patrol, 199 vehicles were screened at the sobriety checkpoint, nine drivers were evaluated for impairment, one driver was arrested for DUI and one citation issued for having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. During the alcohol saturation, 26 total citations were issued and five drivers were arrested for DUI.
