Decorating for Mandan Rodeo Days | Video

The city of Mandan is donning patriotic colors all week. Storefronts and volunteers are decorating for Rodeo Days.

This year marks 40 years of the Art in the Park Festival. This afternoon, 142 craft vendors are assembling their booths in Dykshoorn Park. There are also 27 food vendors who will be selling tasty treats.

Volunteers say they`re anticipating around 25,000 people will take in the events in Mandan over the next few days.

"It gives that positive feeling you just can`t help but kind of get rid of your cares and all that and come down and have a good time," said Del Wetsch with the Mandan Progress Organization.

Art in the Park opens tomorrow morning at 9:00.

The Mighty Thomas Carnival was another late addition this year. Carnival rides are set up in a parking lot on Main Street.
