Last Call for Flood Debris | Video

Amy Fox | 7/2/2012

If you have any flood debris still left in your yard, you`ll have until July 5 to have it hauled off. That`s when Minot`s last FEMA approved contract will expire for flood debris removal. Flood debris will be removed only from the curb.

As Minot Flood Recovery Public Information Officer Mark Lyman explained, they’ll take any flood-damaged items. "Furniture, boxes, stuff that you`ve torn out of your house that would be debris as a result of a flood. That`s what we could pick up. You can go all the way, right down to the stud. All the siding can come right off. When you see the shells around town, those homes that are just shells, you can put all of that on the curve."

All of your debris needs to be separated in piles. For example, all of the metals need to be in one pile and all of the wood in another.
