Man Survives Building Collapse | Video

Jenny Castro | 7/3/2012

A house under construction in Minot collapsed on one of the men working there. Authorities say a member of the crew hit the house with a skid-steer loader, which then crumbled and fell on top of a 20-year-old man.

He was able to talk with rescuers and could move his arms and legs, but he was stuck beneath the rubble. It took nearly an hour to get him out.

“The whole thing just kind of slowly went over, one of our friends got stuck under there. We tried to get him out but he was pretty much trapped,” said Jared Penfield, a construction worker on the house.

The man was immediately rushed to the hospital, his condition is unknown.
