Alcohol a Factor in Fatal Crash Near Jamestown

| 7/9/2012

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says alcohol was a factor in a crash that killed four people on I-94, about 33 miles west of Jamestown Friday evening.

Authorities say Wyatt Klein, 28, from Jamestown was driving his truck in the wrong direction, when he slammed into an oncoming car.

Three people were in the other vehicle at the time, including Aaron, 34, and Allison, 36, Deutscher from West Fargo and their infant daughter.

Sgt. Tom Herzig of the Highway Patrol said alcohol was a factor in the crash, as authorities smelled alcohol from Klein`s pickup.

The crash remains under investigation.

Troopers say all four people were wearing seatbelts.
