Conservation Skills Park Expands

| 7/9/2012

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department`s Conservation and Outdoor Skills park at the state fairgrounds in Minot was damaged by last year`s flood, but the department says the area will be back with more displays this year.

"We`ve basically had to redo our entire area," said Greg Gullickson, the Game and Fish Department`s outreach biologist in Minot, "and we`ve even added some new space for educational displays."

Gullickson added that improvements include a new dock and repairs to structures, landscaping and the fishing pond. Popular events that will be held include free fishing, shooting, archery and furtaker education programs.

The park will be open during the North Dakota State Fair, July 20-28.
