Flooded Businesses Moving Forward | Video

Sarahbeth Ackerman | 7/10/2012

Local businesses in Downtown Minot have been doing their part to move forward since last year`s flood. Although water rushed through Minot, local business owners have been able to pick themselves up.

Some downtown Minot business owners are even seeing some new faces.

"There has been a lot of new businesses downtown. For us, I noticed an increase in new people. We started asking for addresses this year, just to update our records, and I noticed a lot of our receipts have addresses for even some of current customers that are new," said Rick`s Jewerly Sales Repair owner and manager Tracy Belzer.

Belzer says local business owners have high hopes that the city will keep re-investing in the downtown area.
