Sarahbeth Ackerman | 7/12/2012

Minot city officials modified and approved the proposed community action plan today. After receiving feedback from the public, the city finally decided how they will allocate more than $67.5 million in flood recovery funds.

In the final proposal, money will still include the 6th Street underpass project but with only half of the $4.5 million proposed. This means the City Council is allowing the remaining $2.25 million to equally go towards the rehabilitation and reconstruction of flooded homes.

"Well I think I am very well pleases with what the constant said did this afternoon. It`s imperative that turn this community around," said Bob Miller from City Council Ward 2.

"The council now approved the CDBG action plans. So it will move forward now to HUD and we have to get approval from them. They have up to 45 days to do that," said Mayor Curt Zimbelman.
