Henna is a temporary tattoo, which can be a safe alternative for those who have an interest in tattoos. Henna comes from a plant and originated from places such as India and North Africa.
The tattoo substance comes in a powdered form which is then mixed with lemon juice to create the paste.
"The henna actually stains the two or three layers of skin cells, so it doesn`t get into the blood stream. We don`t use needles and once your skin exfoliates, its gradually fades away," said Deena Drewes of Sole Shine Henna Body Art.
Henna tattoos will last between five days to five weeks depending on the placement of your design.
