Survey For Unmet Needs | Video

Jenny Castro | 7/25/2012

The City of Minot is distributing a survey for individuals and families still living in temporary FEMA housing units. The 20 question survey will be part of what`s being called an Unmet Needs Assessment for the city.

Starting Wednesday, the FEMA case workers will be handing out the surveys, but the information is for the city. The survey has questions about the number of people in a household, housing plans, ages, disabilities, and finances. It is not mandatory, but the information is critical in gaining financial support for the city.

“We figure if we have hard information that the federal and state partners we will able to use that to demonstrate that yes we do need to look at giving Minot additional funding.”

FEMA will be picking up the surveys the week of August 1 or they can be returned to the Minot City Hall. And if you don`t live in the temporary housing units, you can still participate by picking up a survey at the City Hall.
