This year`s state fair brought back the Marketplace For Kids showcase and contest. Wednesday’s competition featured the presentation and contest for young entrepreneurs and inventors.

The participants had booths setup with either a new invention or a business idea. Many of the new inventions were created by the kids as a solution to a problem they had encountered.

“We would always haul our horses to somewhere and one was always a faster walker then the other and then I`ve got a handful of ropes and this is just really nice because then I can just have one rope to hang onto an they both follow,” said sixth grader, Peri Wilson.
