Pridefest Takes Place in Bismarck | Video

Alexander Gorney | 7/28/2012

The annual Bismarck-Mandan Pridefest was back this weekend. More than a dozen vendors were at Custer Park in Bismarck to celebrate the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

Pridefest happens once a year in the Bismarck-Mandan area.

“It`s an LGBT family friendly event. Got a bunch of vendors as you can see here, do a little shopping. Get a little tea if you`re thirsty. We`ve also got kids games going on,” said coordinator Jayd Moran.

“It brings the community together and it`s just something that gets everybody out and just have them come out, have fun,” said coordinator Angie Grigsby.

Those stopping by for the event could also watch theatrical performances or listen to music while they shopped.

Next year`s Pridefest is scheduled to take place in August.
