Dickinson Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Coercion & Enticement of a Minor

A Dickinson man was sentenced to ten years in federal prison today on a charge of Coercion & Enticement of a Minor. Jeremy Zastoupil, 31, pleaded guilty to the charge in May.

In August of last year, Zastoupil contacted an undercover police officer posing as a 14 year old girl online. Zastoupil attempted to persuade the undercover officer to engage in sexual activity and meet the undercover officer in person. Zastoupil was arrested when he arrived at the meeting.

In addition to the prison sentence, Zastoupil will have three years of supervised release, pay $100 to the Crime Victim`s Fund and register as a sex offender.
