Increased DUI Enforcement in Minot Area

The Minot Regional Dui Task Force will be conducting heightened enforcement starting this Friday. The enforcement, which runs through Labor Day weekend, is an effort to deter impaired drivers.

Additional patrol officers will be out monitoring city, rural and state roadways.

"In 2011 alone, 45 percent of all fatalities on North Dakota roadways were alcohol-related," said Minot Police Chief Jason Olson. "this issue affects our friends, family and neighbors. The number of people driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is just too high."
