New Airline In Minot | Video

Last month, Minot International Airport set an all-time record with over nineteen thousand passengers for the month and it`s on track to break the 2011 total year record of passengers.

The airport will continue to grow in numbers now that it`s added another airline.

Wednesday, Minot International announced the addition of Frontier Airlines. The new nonstop service will be between Denver, Colorado and Minot, with four weekly flights beginning on November 5th. Airport director, Andy Solsvig, says the new low cost airline could also bring down the prices of the other airlines out of Minot and he says more space will be available down the road with a new Minot airport.

“The plan right now, again is to complete design in January in hopes to break grounds this next spring and if we can stay on that track again, pending funding, we hope to open by 2015,” says Solsvig.

You`ll be able to fly Frontier starting November 5th and the flights will be scheduled four days a week. Also, United Airlines currently has flights traveling from Minot to Denver.
