Highway Patrol Releases Name of Driver Killed in Train Crash

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of the man involved in the fatal truck wreck that happened south of New Town Monday morning. Marvin Bell was driving his 2006 Kenworth across railroad tracks and was struck by a BNSF train. The train pushed the semi into a ditch on the south side of the tracks.

The collision resulted in 30 train cars derailing from the tracks.

Bell, who was from Parshall, was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
