Soldiers From the 188th Return Today

North Dakota soldiers from the 188th engineer company will arrive back home today after a year long deployment to Kuwait.

"We are proud to welcome each member of the 188th Engineer Company home to North Dakota," said Senator John Hoeven. "These individuals have accomplished a remarkable number of projects with both skill and dedication during the course of their deployment, demonstrating the exceptional character and resolve of North Dakota`s National Guard. We are grateful for the important work these soldiers accomplished, and extend our deepest thanks to each soldier and their family."

"The men and women of the 188th Engineer Company did an outstanding job while deployed to Kuwait and performed their mission with honor and distinction," said Governor Jack Dalrymple. "For the past year, they have put their lives on hold and on the line to serve our state and nation and we owe them and their families a debt of gratitude for their service and sacrifice. We are proud to welcome home these North Dakota heroes."

Most of the 160 soldiers will be heading into Fargo. However a few will be arriving in Williston, Dickinson and Minot as well.
