One Man Dead After Oil Rig Blowout | Video

Chris Williams | 8/17/2012

Police are investigating the death of a man following an oil rig blowout early Wednesday morning in Williams County. The blowout spewed nearly 400 barrels of oil and salt water into fields, forcing workers to evacuate.

The man who died, Jason Pinasco, 39, was on County Road 11A, when he was hit by a truck that was being removed from the site.

Adalberto Lozano, 35, was driving the truck that hit Pinasco. According to the Williams County Sheriffs Department, Lozano is not in custody.

Crews are still working to see if the run-off from the blowout will affect soil on the fields, or water.
