You shouldn`t come to this fest without an appetite.
"We have eight different restaurants grilling and they can grill whatever they choose to grill," said Vernon Cermak, Co-Chair of the Wild West Grill Fest.
"You can get anything today. You can get prime rib sandwiches, you can get shish kabob food from the Harvest restaurant which is brazilian," said Del Wetsch, Executive Director of the Mandan Progress Organization.
"We were looking for an event to do in them in the month of august in the city of Mandan, so we sat down with members of the Mandan progress Organization and we decided to do a Grill Fest," said Cermak.
Those with a craving for some BBQ can get pretty much whatever you can think of grilled. From hamburgers and ribs, to extreme sized sausages.
"This is a sausage on a stick. It comes from Cloverdale we just started using actually," said Norm Stetson, owner of Norm`s Eatery.
"We have corn maize, sweet corn, we have triple your pepper sweet corn. We have garlic parmesan sweet corn and we have double your butter sweet corn today," said Arlyn VanBeek of AJ`s Catering.
Eating isn`t the only thing you can do at this event. Plenty of shopping options are available. And you can do it all while sipping on some beer and listening to some music.
"Ever since they started this here. I love it. It`s great. Love the music love the food so I`m making it a point to come here," said Grill Fest visitor, Edna Fleck
"It`s so much fun eating whatever you want. There`s so much varieties," said 11-year old Brekken Fey.
The fest goes until 11:30 tonight and from 11:00 a.m. to midnight Saturday. Entry to the Wild West Grill Fest is three dollars and the proceeds will go toward city projects.
