Early Morning Police Pursuit in Minot

A man was arrested after leading police on a car chase in Minot early this morning. At around 1:30 a.m. police observed a pickup driving the wrong way on Highway 2 & 52. When they attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle took off and led police on a chase.

Police pursued the vehicle until it crashed in the 3000 block of 39th Street SE.

The driver of the pickup, James Michael Wilke II, 25, was arrested and charged with Driving Under Suspension, Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Reckless Driving and Fleeing from a Police Officer.

No one was injured.
