Man Burned in Oil Rig Explosion

The Mountrail County Sheriff`s Department says a man was injured in an oil rig explosion near Stanley yesterday morning. The 29-year-old Utah man is in intensive care after suffering severe burns to over 90 percent of his body.

He was flown to Trinity Hospital in Minot, and then transferred to a burn unit in Minnesota.

The explosion happened at a Hess oil rig 12 miles southwest of Stanley.
