Eastern ND Fatal Crash Names Released

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of the people involved in a fatal crash yesterday morning in Walsh County. Steven Hovde, 62, from Forest River was driving with his passenger, Jeannie Lynn Stockert, 47, also from Forest River, on Walsh County Road #15, near Voss, ND just before 8:00. Hovde`s vehicle went into the ditch and vaulted across a driveway before coming to a stop in the ditch.

Stockert was taken by a personal vehicle to a hospital. Hovde refused to be taken to the hospital and remained with the vehicle.

When emergency crews arrived, Hovde was dead.

The crash is under investigation by the NDHP.
