| 9/10/2012

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of the persons involved in two fatal crashes on Saturday night in eastern North Dakota. Jeremy Rader, 40, from Casselton, was killed at around 11:00 when his SUV drifted into the median on I-94 near West Fargo.

Troopers say the man struck a concrete embankment, causing his vehicle to catch fire. A witness and first responders pulled the man from the vehicle to try and revive him.

However, troopers say he died at the scene.

There was a second fatal crash Saturday night at around 11:40 in Traill County. Alexander Knutson, 26, from Climax, MN, was driving on Traill County Road 21, about nine miles east of Buxton, ND. Knutson lost control of his vehicle and rolled it in the ditch.

He was ejected from his vehicle and found by a passing motorist. Knutson died at the scene.

The Highway Patrol says that alcohol was located at the scene, but it is unknown at this time if Knutson had consumed any alcohol.

Both crashes are under investigation by the NDHP.
