Young Jobs | Video

North Dakota has plenty of jobs available, and some businesses big and small are sharing their ideas to get today`s students prepared for tomorrow`s openings.

At a meeting with the Mid-Dakota Education Cooperative, they suggested creating school programs for students before entering the workforce.

Hess Corporation has donated somewhere between one and a half and two and a half million dollars to Ward County secondary schools.

"Being a regional education association here in Minot with Mid Dakota Education Cooperative, we`re able to move this out with all schools around Ward County and a few of our schools are outside of Ward County so we have a nice, small geographic area but we get to impact quite a few students," says Luke Schaefer who is the Project Director at MDEC.

A five year initiative should be ready to go on February 1.
