Kevin Stanfield | 9/19/2012

According to new estimates from the Governor`s office, North Dakota has a budget surplus of $1.6 billion. Earlier estimates had the surplus at $850 million. Governor Jack Dalrymple says the extra money is coming from an increase in sales tax revenue, thanks to the oil boom going on.

He says the extra money should go toward public works projects and tax cuts.
