Two ND Colleges Get Job Grants

North Dakota`s Congressional delegation announced today that two North Dakota schools will receive over $17.5 million in job training grants. Senators Kent Conrad and John Hoeven and Rep. Rick Berg said that Bismarck State College will get over $14 million and Lake Region State College will get nearly three million dollars in grants from the Department of Labor.

"North Dakota workers are among the best in the country and but it is important that all American workers keep pace with changing job skill needs in a changing world," the delegation said in a joint statement. "These grants will provide valuable training that will strengthen our work force."

The grants are for institutions of higher learning to expand quality education and training services.
