BSC Releases Enrollment Numbers and is Recognized as Military Friendly | Video

Jessica Roose | 9/19/2012

It seems less students are enrolling for college this year, officials at Bismarck State College say the school is experiencing a six percent decline in enrollment. The decline is being attributed to the lack of housing and booming job market in the state.

But the school did receive some good news, they have been named a military friendly school by G.I Jobs Magazine, for the fourth year in a row.

"It`s a pretty big honor, something we strive to be every year. We do interact and have service members from all branches of the active duty and National Guard," said Military Affairs Officer Lane Huber.

BSC typically has between three and four hundred military students that attend each year. When you add in their families that attend, it amounts to ten percent of the school`s population.
